The vehicle and guide plan are built for one party, so the route can respond to your actual pace. They also reduce the waiting that happens when a larger group repeatedly gathers. That flexibility is valuable on a short or uncertain port call. ## When a small group makes sense A well-sized small group can offer good value when travelers are comfortable with a shared meeting time and a fixed core route. The important word is “small”: ask how many guests the product is designed for and how return timing is managed. A lower price is not useful if the route depends on a large coach moving forty people through every stop. ## Compare the complete service Compare vehicle, guide arrangement, entrance tickets, pickup point, group size and return plan—not only the first number shown. A private-group price and a per-person price behave differently as passenger numbers change. - Maximum group size - Guide language - Vehicle and air conditioning - Ticket inclusions - Cancellation terms - Return window ## The practical decision Choose private when control and pacing matter most. Choose small-group when the route is straightforward, your party is flexible and the total value is clear. In both cases, the ship schedule should be collected before confirmation. ## Questions ### Is a private tour priced per person? Some private products use a group base price and add a charge above a stated number of guests. The reservation summary shows how the quote is calculated. ### Will a small group wait for late guests? Group operating rules vary. Ask how the pickup cutoff and ship delays are handled before confirmation. ### Which option is best for limited mobility? A private plan usually gives more control over pace and stops, but Ephesus still has uneven surfaces. Share mobility needs so the route can be reviewed honestly. ## Related pages - [Small-group Ephesus essentials](https://kusadasitravelagency.com/tours/ephesus-essentials): A fixed, focused shared route. - [Private Ephesus shore excursion](https://kusadasitravelagency.com/tours/private-ephesus-for-cruise-passengers): Your party, vehicle and adaptable pace. - [Build a private Ephesus day](https://kusadasitravelagency.com/private-tours/build-your-ephesus-tour): Test compatible stops against the available time. ## Compare the route, not only the label.
